Where People Of God Come Together

 Devotions and Lessons
Building Relationships Through God's Love

Scripture of the Week:

Psalm 92

Of David.

It is good to praise the LORD,
to sing hymns to Your name, O Most High,

To proclaim Your steadfast love at daybreak,
Your faithfulness each night

With a ten-stringed harp,
with voice and lyre together.

You have gladdened me by Your deeds, O LORD;
I shout for joy at Your handiwork.

How great are Your works, O LORD,
how very subtle Or “profound.” Your designs!

A brutish man cannot know,
a fool cannot understand this:

though the wicked sprout like grass,
though all evildoers blossom,
it is only that they may be destroyed forever.

But You are exalted, O LORD, for all time.
Surely, Your enemies, O LORD,
surely, Your enemies perish;
all evildoers are scattered.

You raise my horn high like that of a wild ox;
I am soaked in freshening oil.

I shall see the defeat of my watchful foes,
hear of the downfall of the wicked who beset me.

The righteous bloom like a date-palm;
they thrive like a cedar in Lebanon;

planted in the house of the LORD,
they flourish in the courts of our God.

In old age they still produce fruit;
they are full of sap and freshness,

attesting that the LORD is upright,
my rock, in whom there is no wrong.

What is Memorial Day?

Read Now

Today we remember those who sacrificed their lives so that American Citizens can live a life in accordance with the Bible and the Constitution. If you look it up, that is one of the things this day is described as. Unfortunately, many just see today as a day off from work. I personally have lost relatives in wartime situations and it is their memory which I remember today.

Many who do not understand will thank a Veteran or one whos is currently serving, this is not our day, but it is our day to remember our fallen Brothers and Sisters. If a Vet or current serviceman does not correct the individual, then that person is wrong.

Our freedoms are at risk but the question then becomes, what freedoms do we actually have left? Today's society has already handed so many of the values and morals that were held by those who died over to the people who hate our way of life that it is almost not even worth celebrating the day. We have returned to child sacrifice, immoral behaviors, allowed other religious laws to infiltrate our country. We have openly allowed people to come in and kill us while we welcome them with open arms and homes.

When will we stop this????
It better be soon or we will no longer recognize this country for what it was. It is time to return to what right looks like within the eyes of God. Churches need to stop letting society and the popular dictate our lives. God dictates how we should live, no one else.

Are you ready to stand??? Stop letting the world rule us, it is time for God to rule again.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant but too many people are losing their lives senselessly because of the evils in this world. Tired of those who have been blinded and no longer see the light.

They Have Been Blinded

Read Now

Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.” Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains. John 9:39-41

This is exactly what is happening now in the Vatican. According to the website,
Breaking Israeli News , there are many in positions of authority at the highest Catholic levels, who are deceived into believing that Jesus is not going to return. These men were devoted to Jesus yet corruption has blinded them to the truth. What happened? Just like the Sanhedrin of old, the Vatican has lost the truth of the matter and have become blinded to the Word.

Why

The Word of God is meant for the Children of God. We are all His Children, yes, and we know Him but this is what happens....the corruption of His Word by mankind blinds the authorities to the truths within. The desires of man to be liked, loved, and successful, cause the blindness. When given power and authority through lineage (Levites) the Word learned is full of humanity's interpretation and tradition. This blinds a person to the truth unless the eyes of the heart are opened.

It Has Been Written

Scriptures talk about this in that those in authority will begin to deny that Jesus will return. This is so that the Adversary can step in for the final corruption before Jesus returns. Is this a test? yes. Will eyes be opened, yes, but for most it will be a last moment heart tug. Will it be tough, yes, but necessary. Why is this happening? Because God needs to punish Satan for his deception. The devil will come in and create a false sense of peace but at the cost of many lives.

Too Many are Still In the World, Not In The Word

The world has taken hold of so many people that it is difficult for them to see the problems that they are causing. They are blind to the desires that hold them to need the worldliness before Godliness. It is this that will make it easy for the Satan's final deception of man. How do we conquer this? How do we not become one of the blind? Continue to stay in the Word and do not fall for falsehoods. God will give those who truly believe discernment of heart and mind so we can see the truth of the matter.

To create a visual for understanding, if you have read the "Left Behind" series or saw the movies with Kirk Cameron, they give a great visual effect on the minds eye of one who is to see the truth of things. It may or may not be like that but if you see others being swayed away from the truth of things and are given the mind not to be swayed by the sweet soothing voice of evil, then that is discernment provided by God.

Be Ready

Brothers and Sisters, be vigilant in the Word and continue to share as we are Commissioned to do. Do not let the World run your life but rule the world with the Word. Be the neighbor, continue random acts of kindness in God's name, feed and cloth others and do not worry about things of the world for they pass away but the Word remains forever.

In God's Love,
Rob, Servant of God

The Importance of Understanding History

Read Now

Writings of old give a glimpse into what life was like back before all the conveniences of these modern times. They tell of their understanding of the sciences, communication, migration, religious idealisms and traditions, moral and ethical codes, healthy living, wars, famines, and others good and bad times. As we progress into the future it is good to know the past so that we do not make similar mistakes, especially in the treatment of all humankind. At the same time, the writings teach about what happens when right and wrong choices are made. We learn about consequences of actions through stories of truth, myth, and legends. So why does it seem like so many people are ignoring the past?

Ignorance is a Blissful Mess
Not knowing the events of the past, even the last 400 years can lead down a path of serious problems that make us repeat it. Because of this we have turned back the clock where bad men and women chose the path society traveled. Schools are teaching selected truths of history and perverting what happened when their idealisms do not concur with what actually happened. There is a teaching of hatred and misinformation that causes students to rebel against what is right and true. The Adversary is indoctrinating them into false realities. Most have forgotten what happened to Roman and other societies as sexual perversions, bad leaders, and the expanse of certain economic successes and blunders caused the eventual fall of the empire. Oh how I wish some people would have paid attention. To make matters worse, some have tried to change the form of the government to something worse even as they see other countries that made that change fall into anarchy.

What Happened?
Some people are asking for monetary compensation as a form of reconciliation for what happened to their ancestors. I am sorry that happened but I am not racist nor am I in the business of selling nor forcing people into slavery nor was my family. Money does not make up for the past and progress cannot be made through an object that when loved, is the root of evil deeds.
True “compensation” is families forgiving families and folks sharing in the Love of God. Does not Jesus tell us to forgive our Brothers (he was meaning all people) so that we can be forgiven? There is no measure to forgiveness; it must be practiced whenever occasion arises. Christian forgiveness must be extended as far as old-world vengeance. Paul writes, "Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" (Ephesians 4:32). Through immeasurable forgiveness, progress to the Kingdom can be made.
America is heading down the path where we are running out of room because so many people are coming in and instead of blending, they are trying to enforce their religious and traditions on others. Freedom of and from religion means that communities can have their religious practices (within the bounds of good ethical and moral behaviors) without forcing others to see things their way and keeping those practices out of the government except for what the government was founded upon.
In America, we have a Constitution that dictates how to be successful and shares the rights of the citizenry but there are certain things that are really grey areas.
We have a set of judges in America that occasionally are forced to conform to society and put a human twist to God’s Law thereby removing God and condemning us. Some things should not be our choice.

1. Right to Life
All people have a right to life but so many what to end other’s lives, some before they even really begin. Why have we gone back to child sacrifice? Human beings do not have a right to kill another. Remember the Commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Murder”? I understand the desire for aborting a pregnancy if conception happened from a rape or if the mother or child is in danger, I got that. But when two people who truly love each other become one, God grants the gift of a child. He also dictates timing. When a heartbeat begins, life’s blood is circulating. The child is alive.
Certain celebrities have fought for the right to be promiscuous. If you desire to sleep around then have protection. But then again, Abstinence is best. If you are going to oppose the Law and the Prophets, be prepared for the consequences of your actions.
We have also gotten to the point of protecting persons who commit crimes and traveled into places illegally. The Tanakh, the Bible, even the Koran all have Scripture concerning the treatment and expulsion of illegals especially those who commit crimes or do not conform to the country in which they wish to abide. This treatment was for the safety of the legal citizens already in the country. Why does the whole government not see the problem?

2. Right to Practice (within the Bounds of Common Law)
We are allowed to practice religions that do not involve the taking of another’s life nor controlling another’s actions to commit crimes against others. Unfortunately, there are people who cannot leave certain ways of life behind and try to impose their strictest beliefs that are most harmful to women upon others, even those who do not fall under their laws. The world has allowed disgraceful behaviors against humanity to run rampant. We were designed as caretakers, not destroyers of the sanctity of life.
Thankfully, there are people in authority who have the strength, wisdom, and ability to stand against those who oppose oppression and dissenters who try to impose their outdated laws upon others. We know that the right way of life will prevail and we all hope we are on the right side. For those of us who are Children of God, we know the outcome and it is good.

We Are All A Shade of Brown Skin
Contrary to some who insist the first humans were black skin, when you take all things into consideration Adam was brown skin. Not black, white, yellow or red…brown. The research states that Eden is a ethereal place where it was the material representation of Heaven. This meant that all things which are in Heaven was represented on Earth. The High Kingdom was still distant but the Garden itself was a physical copy of the Garden in Heaven. It was placed in the Middle East. From Adam would come Eve and the pairing created children of different genetics. Hair and skin color were different. If you read the Book of Jasper and other earlier texts you will see how different the children were. Noah and his wife’s three boys were different as well. When Babel happened, we were dispersed into what we know today.
How Do We Learn

By picking up a translation of ancient writings (which by the way are readily available), we can learn from the past more about our future. It is amazing what we can learn by study and asking religious authorities the right questions. Ignoring the past condemns us to relive it. Personally, that is not on my agenda of things to do. Jesus taught us not to worry but He also reminded us to look to the past to understand the present in order to face future events.

Vile Tongues

Read Now

Do you know someone who has one opinion for a good while, becomes known for that opinion then one day up and turns 180. The forked silver tongued person does just that. In the last 20 years this type of person is getting a lot of attention and is commonly known as a bandwagon jumper. This person type desires to sty relevant in the world no matter the cost to others much less themselves until they become victims of their own selfishness.
Hollywood has become this group thanks to the desire to remain popular and attention seeking. How many celebrities do you know that have changed their tune when society is turning against them or they could not get their way? There are more since the 2016 elections than ever before. The number one grabber for them is the sponsorship money. The powerful (by world standards) tell them that they will give them money if they do or say a certain thing. Many have fallen and willingly gave up any moral or ethical standing that they had, all for the dollar.
The Vile Tongue
 Your tongue plots destruction,
like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.
3 You love evil more than good,
and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah
4 You love all words that devour,
    O deceitful tongue.
Psalm 52:2-4
The people mentioned above are the ones destroying our way life. They are persecuting the good and letting evil take its place. So many good people have fallen because of their need to be in the world and care what others think of them. Church Bodies have given in to the desires of man and let go the Will and Love of God. Some have even replaced God with His Son without knowing it. God’s main name is not Jesus (I have heard people say, “I have a God and His Name is Jesus”).  (Jesus is a member of the Trinity but not the main part).
Be Careful the Words We Speak
There are some words we say that should not be in our vocabulary as Children of The Father. There are many but I will talk specifically about three of them.
1.      Deserve  We are not in a position to deserve anything except death. There is nothing on earth that we are entitled to. All those kids who think they deserve free things, accolades (trophies), or other material desires do not know that God is the provider, not the government. We should also not say that a person deserved that bad thing that happened to them. Not even imprisonment.

2.      Mine  Sorry Charlie it is not yours. Mine is a term of possessiveness. IN the greater scheme of things what we believe is ours is a temporary ownership. Think about it, even when we pay off something big (house, car, boat) we still pay taxes on it so we really do not own it. The other part to this word leads to greed and selfishness. Claiming something as personally owned especially at a young life makes a person prone to stinginess and an inability to share. It also leads to a lack of desire and ability to trade or give freely.

3.      Unforgivable  If someone does something so bad that we call it unforgivable, we put our feelings and decisions above God’s. We are not in the position to withhold the possibility of forgiveness. Only God can do that. We forgive because God forgave us. Withholding forgiveness is bad for all parties involved. Think of how many people sent to prison were forgiven by the person or a family member. A true sign of a Believer.

Be Careful

Be vigilant in everything and watch your tongue that it does not incriminate you or another. Remember, Jesus said that what comes out of the body is unclean unless it is from/of God. We all make mistakes in our speech but we should be aware of our words that they do not harm another nor blaspheme God. We can share the Kingdom, one good word at a time.

Paying Forward

Read Now

This past Saturday I was waiting for an oil change on my car so I walked around town for a bit until I was compelled to go to Shoney’s to get something to eat. I really did not intend to go there but I listened to my heart. While in the restaurant I ran into a couple of old friends and caught up with them which was awesome but the thing that got me thinking was when I had gotten to the counter to pay. I paid for mine then without thinking about it I paid for the couple behind me in line. As I was leaving out the door I noticed that the couple paid for the person that was waiting behind them. This had me wondering if a chain reaction would start and we would have random acts of kindness going on all day.
I do not know what happened after I left but I know that four people were touched that morning. God tells us to be kind and do things for others without second thought. He also reminds us that if something good is done for us then we should do the same for another. I never thought I would be witness to an immediate paying forward but I did and my heart was warmed and cooled by the Holy Spirit welling up inside me telling me that it was the right thing to do.
You Never Know The Impact
The look on the faces on all involved yesterday were like one of those “priceless” commercials where 15 million emotions are seen in an instant. What was going through the minds I will never know but I could tell that the man who was behind the other couple did not expect the chain reaction that happened and neither did the cashier. You can never tell what the end result will be but that one moment of kindness could have a lifelong impact. Maybe the man was having one of those days or he could have been having a good morning that was boosted 7 times 7 and he paid it forward in another way. God knows, and the impact of a simple kindness moves mountains.
Blessings
I was blessed to find that I did not have to pay for the oil change but blessings come in many other ways. When we do God’s Will amazingly simple things happen that make our days brighter. It was supposed to storm hard and I had told my wife I would grill some steaks. It sprinkled when I first lit the fire but the rain held off until evening after all was cleaned up. When I went to Food Lion to get some last minute items, I heard conversations on how good others days had gotten even when their mornings started out horribly wrong until something happened that changed it. God takes our troubles and can turn them into blessings. Life is good when God is in the center.
How Can We Feel The Joy Daily
Seek God’s Grace through the Joy of no matter what occurs. As Christians we find hope and joy in our Lord even in the midst of sorrow. When our day seems too perfect we know that somewhere, someone suffered for this day. We thank God for everything that happens even if it was counted as a loss. God is there and even when we do not want to admit it, God will remind us of His presence. All we have to do is live for Him and others, not for ourselves. Saying it is easy, I know, but living it is hard. We just have to believe and trust that God has us wrapped in His arms.
Be blessed in the knowledge that God is always there. He is with us through His Words, His Love, His Sacrifice.

Love to All

HAVE you heard the expression, "Stop the world I want to get off"? I bet there are multitudes thinking something very similar right now. There is so much pain, suffering, death, immorality, and power hungry people in this world turning it inside out. Politicians care more about their personal agendas and trying to rid themselves of a President who does not follow the status quo or New World Order agendas. The Pope is being called out for heresy. The LBGT... agenda is falling in on itself by doing exactly what they were fighting against in the first place. Deception has taken over accepting. Is this not what we were warned about? Yes, yes it is.

The Honorable Abe Lincoln once said, "A house divided against itself will not stand". This is from the Bible:

And he called them to him and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.

Jesus said this to explain the division between the Sanhedrin and the truth of God. The current society has become broken by Satan's deception taking many away from God and disrupting the governing officials with thoughts of jealousy and greed. This division cannot go on any longer.

There is Hope                                                                                                                                                                 U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recently put his foot down and told the Democrats that he has had enough and they need to concentrate on running the country, putting aside personal problems and agendas. An LGBT activist is standing up and telling his own kind to shut up and move on. Now we just need to get people back on track with God.

We can no longer be a divided house. The world must stand up to Satan and show Him that God is the one who saves from death and all his promises mean nothing. Satan's temptations will lead us nowhere but to be separated from God. Is that what we want? Separation means eternal darkness and eventual destruction of our very souls. That kind of future is very bleak. Life with God means peace and comfort to our souls.

Brothers and Sisters, we must get right with ourselves, our own, then get right with God. God saved us through the sacrifice of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus has made us clean in God's sight. We do not have a right to go on sinning but must turn our hearts towards God. God is Merciful and Kind, Loving, and  full of Grace. But He is also Jealous and our Judge. Without the Blood of Jesus we will be sent away in torment. Without following the example of Jesus we will not be recognized during the Judgement. In our time of trouble, call out in the Name of Jesus and God will hear us as He heard the cries of the Israelites calling Adonai. Raise our voices in Praise and Worship of the One True God.

Blessings,
 Rob, Servant of God

Offended?

Read Now

HOW often do we hear someone or ourselves say that we are offended by something? In this day and age we seem to hear that a lot. Being offended means to be resentful or annoyed, typically as a result of a perceived insult. The adjective, being offended, is a personal perception or emotional response to something that a person finds hurtful or against their moral and ethical standards. Somehow that has changed in society today where people are offended by everything and have lost standards of right living especially when people are offended by people actually living a right life.

 Offended by Objects
Society has come to a point where objects that point to our past are offensive and are torn down. Offended by an object???? Then do not look at it. An object that is made by the hands of man that does not have breath cannot defend itself nor hide away. The objects made by man and can be avoided simply by ignoring it. The person that made it is the one that caused the offense not the object. Just don’t look at it, make a statement but your personal feelings do not need to be pushed on others.
Okay, I get it people do not want to be reminded of the past but I ask this, “How can we make progress for a united people if we keep looking back and are offended by something our ancestors did. Those objects that may have been built to glorify are now reminders of the past so we can choose to either learn from it or not.
For some who are not affected either way, we see those statues, carvings, paintings and tapestries as reminders so that we do not repeat the past. Removal of those things from public view could incite eventual repeats of past discretion against others that are caused by the people who removed them because they were offended. They don’t learn.

What about the Offense of Sin

If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell. Matthew 5:29-30

Christians should not tolerate sin as an integral part of their lives. Sin is all around us and if we are to protect ourselves from sin, we should remove ourselves from the situation or person that caused us to be tempted. Overcoming personal sin is as painful as losing a part of the physical body. From a spiritual standpoint, it is better to forsake sinful pleasures than to lose salvation when you stay in sin.
When a person in Body of Christ falls into sin we are obligated to help the person purge the sin from the individual. If that does not work and the infection spreads then the person who is living in that sin must be purged from the Body. It is a very hard thing to do but it must be done. The church today is so infected by sinful behaviors that Scripture says God abhors and condemns. These behaviors have infected the Body so bad that we have taken the sin to be an acceptable behavior and welcome the boasting and discussing of these things as if they are normal. WE ARE DOOMED if we continue to accept bad as good and good as bad.

I’m Offended
They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. John 15:18

We want to welcome all people and bring everyone to Christ which is what we are supposed to do. What we are not supposed to do is let the infection of personal sins spread and become the replacement theological thoughts. God’s Word has been perverted so bad that we have forgotten what is right. Yes we are to welcome sinners but they must learn to work on ridding themselves of sin and not openly talk about certain behaviors as if to glorify them.
The Body of Christ should not tolerate sin in its members, any more than an individual should tolerate sin in his life.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

The healthy church bodies that see the sinfulness grow, tell the person or persons to leave which leads the church to be ridiculed. If a sinner ridicules a church then shower the sinner with tough love. Do not give in to the demands of society but be rebellious and continue in the right ways according to Scripture. Do not give up truth, embrace it as you embrace the Father. Show mercy (you know, kill the sin with kindness) so that the person may see the wrong in his/her ways.

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 1 Peter 4:14

If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.  Ephesians 4:18

Certain religious organizations stay alive through blending with the desires of society. Did not God, then Jesus, then all the Apostles tell us not to do this? Brothers and Sisters, live for God not for man. This life is temporary bliss, living for and with God is eternal. When a church becomes a campus, search the true meaning of said campus. Does the place develop God fearing Disciples or does it develop followers who just learn and not do?
If something offends speak out once then leave what has offended you behind. If it is person who consistently speaks offensively and does not leave you alone, report him or her to someone in authority. There are rules, regulations, and places that take care of these folks. Do not be offended by an object that cannot change on its own. Take yourself out of the equation and away from the object. If it is in a place that you need to be in frequently, ask that it be removed and placed elsewhere so those not offended can still see it. Things are temporary, God is Eternal.

Blessings,
 Rob, Servant of God

The main writer of this blog site is an Ordained minister in one denomination though the views are related to all denominations so if something is said that does not fall in line with your denominational background, pray for personal discernment and understanding.
