Refuge and Retreat Center

The Refuge and Retreat Center is a place to build, refresh, and renew a relationship with God the Father Almighty. All are welcome here. On staff we will have pastoral counselors, worship leaders, and others who can assist in learning more about how God works in our lives through the Holy Spirit. This is a holy place set aside for believers to worship in all the ways God will have us. We worship through Music, Prayer, Community Service, Sharing Meals, Providing a place to renew and rediscover who you are meant to be.
We finally have the first building's frame up and a portion of the initial walls are attached. Feels great knowing that God gives us the strength, knowledge, and understanding to accomplish this project for His glory.
We are in need of materials as we clear and build the Refuge and Retreat Center. So far we have received wood and pallets for small projects and storage structures but we need assistance with the picnic and parking areas and fire pit. All materials given are a blessing. We are also using the materials already present on the land to build what we can. Here is a list of our current material needs:
  1. Stone for the fire pit floor
  2. Crush and Run for parking
  3. Concrete for floor of Picnic Area 1 and Wood Shed (need 200 80 lb bags)
  4. 100 ft. of .06 plastic for the bottom layer of Phase One Walk and Garden
  5. 10 5 ft. by 16 ft. cattle fencing for the vine gardens to provide shade for a portion of the path
  6. Wood and Brick for building the Picnic area (30ft x 60ft)
  7. Landscaping stones for a 10ft wide circular fire pit.
  8. Paving Sand for stability (50 bags)
God is my refuge and my strength is a common theme used in the Old Testament especially in the Psalms and Proverbs. At the Path-Way Refuge and Retreat Center we provide the earthly comfort to help those in need understand the Spiritual comfort that is felt in the arms of God and the comfort that the teachings of Jesus gives us. If we learn about the Joy we gain in suffering then our hearts find that much needed rest and refuge from the evil one.
