Building Relationships Through Multi-Denominational Worship

Scripture of the Week: Leviticus 25: 35-38 (CJB)35 “‘If a member of your people has become poor, so that he can’t support himself among you, you are to assist him as you would a foreigner or a temporary resident, so that he can continue living with you. 36 Do not charge him interest or otherwise profit from him, but fear your God, so that your brother can continue living with you. 37 Do not take interest when you loan him money or take a profit when you sell him food. 38 I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt in order to give you the land of Kena‘an and be your God.

What Does this tell us: Look at what is going on around you. We have failed in this order from God. There are Christians who will say that this was only meant for the Israelites at the time but guess what, it is an exercise in loving ones brother and sister more than the self. We are to take care of each other so that we can live right in the eyes of God. This is one of the moral and ethical laws that Jesus emphasized as important and not to be ignored.

Refuge and Retreat Center is in need of volunteers to prepare for the Holiday season.  For more information see our Refuge and Retreat Center site @ pathwayworship.org.

Rise Up For Our Lord

5/4/2016

The Preacher's Pledge
I will make the Bible my primary resource in sermon preparation and preaching.
I may use other resources such as commentaries and web sites to enhance, not replace, my personal interaction with Scripture.
As I study I will strive to accurately understand and honestly apply God's Word, allowing Him to uniquely proclaim His truth in a relevant way through me.
...
This is also relevant to the Body of Christ. Instead of sermon preparation, substitute witnessing and Discipleship. When it comes to the use of other materials to enhance the Word while accurately professing and applying your faith in order to plant seeds; our lives are the source materials so they will not just hear but see Christ in us.
The BIBLE is our main source of information for living a Godly Life. It is the Word of God which means it is truth. These days some people are perverting the Word to satisfy their own agendas. It has been used to start race wars, grant assurance of salvation to the guilty who boast by openly living in their sin without penance, and glorifying their humanity instead of relying on God.

Brothers and Sisters, it is time to put a stop to this madness because of the persecution that will come if we let it continue. Church, we need to guide and empower the youth to stay in the faith, not ignoring them once they are in the world and under it's influence. Are we not given this responsibility by growing in Christ, much less it is spelled out numerous times in Scripture that we must take the youth under our wing and teach the Word, follow up and keep them in It. Many Christians are failing in this thanks to the influence of society.
I think we know some of the influences today. The exploitation of the human body to sell products,  acceptance of proven mental disorders (gender dysphoria) as being a norm in society. The government's involvement in the destruction of the ordinance of marriage. Acceptable boasting in sins. The worst is the misinterpretation of Jesus fulfilling the law not abolishing it in the thinking that all Mosaic Laws are now cancelled. He fulfilled the rituals, sacrifices, and festivals, that's it. HE gave us a new commandment of Love with the condition, our neighbor as ourselves.
Brothers and Sisters, Stand with me in God's WORD, the Truth. Do not let it falter. Live a Christ like life so those around you see Him in you. Be safe and God Bless
